Due to the importance of utilizing alternative transportation, the City participates in and subsidizes the cost of ValuPass program with the Regional Transportation District (RTD). ValuPass is a series of monthly bus passes, which are purchased in advance, rather than month-by-month for a 12-month period.
Enrollment forms must be returned to CSA Benefits by the 1st day of the month in order to receive a pass for the following month. For example, those seeking a May pass would need to submit an enrollment form no later than April 1st.
2009 ValuPass Monthly Cost:
- $33 per month for a Local pass
- $45 per month for an Express pass
- $63 per month for a Regional pass
Enrollment Provisions:
- Your cost for the program will be taken directly through a monthly pre-tax payroll deduction.
- The ValuPass will be mailed directly to your home at the end of each month.
- You may enroll at any time via the ValuPass Deduction Authorization form.
- Enrollment is for a 12-month period, and is non-transferable and non-refundable.
- You must return completed forms to Career Service Benefits NO LATER than the 1st day of the previous month in order to receive a pass for the first of the following month.

** Senior (age 65+), and disabled individuals are eligible to receive a discounted pass. The monthly rates for a discounted pass are:
- $16.50 per month for a Local pass
- $22.50 per month for an Express pass
- $31.50 for a Regional pass
