Denver Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Washington Park Boat House is slated to be repaired and improved with funding from the Better Denver Bond program voted for by Denver residents. The department has been working with the community over the last six months to develop an improvements and preservation plan that proposes the following: repair to address important needs; accessibility to the site and pavilion level; and park appropriate uses for the lower floor of the Boat House. We’ll present the master plan for both building and site and include a phased improvements plan matched to available funding.
Please join us at the second and final public meeting, make comments and help us create consensus for the final plans. The Department of Parks and Recreation and the design consultants Andrews & Anderson - Architects and Mundus Bishop Design - Landscape Architects will be present at the meeting.
Meeting purpose:
Summarize the project planning and design process and develop consensus on final plans before moving into final design and construction.
