LEAP in Denver is designed to pay a portion of your heat bill, one-time during the winter season. LEAP, also known as LiEAP, also provides emergency assistance when a family receives a shut-off notice or when heat has already been shut-off.
Households that qualify can receive anywhere from $497 to $999 that goes directly towards paying your heat bill. The amount received is dependent on the cost of the heat bill, the number of people living in your home, and income.
The LEAP season runs Nov. 1 - April 30 each year.
