Counseling & Assessment Services
There is a wide variety of counseling and assessment services available at the Denver Department of Human Services (DDHS) for our TANF clients. These resources are available for case-managers to use to assist their clients in reaching their full potential. Here is a brief look at what these services are all about.

Catholic Charities provides mental health treatment for individuals, familes and children. Catholic Charities also has access to psychiatric servies. Catholic Charities provides both home-based services and treatment services at various locations throughout Denver.

The Haven

The Haven offers a therapeutic community for pregnant and post-partum women and their children up to 18 years of age. Women must be TANF clients with chronic substance abuse disorders, with or without a co-occurring mental health diagnosis.

Project Safeguard (Domestic Violence)

Project Safeguard provides legal assistance for domestic violence victims. An Advocate is located at DHS to provide counseling, education, emergency legal services, restraining orders, advocacy assistance, and crisis court support for clients.
