Often referred to as "HBO" - Operation Home Base currently provides intensive therapeutic and casework services to families for up to eighteen months. Appropriate referrals are those families whose children are at high risk for being placed out of the home or children who are returning home after placement. Placement can be with parents or with kin. Many referrals come from the Division's Ongoing Child Protection Section, Early Intervention Section, Intake Section, Sex Abuse TX unit, Adoption Section, and occasionally a case referred directly from the community.
