At last month’s State of the City address the Mayor said “We are engulfed in the worst economic crisis of our lifetime… unemployment is projected to rise to levels not seen since the great depression… but in the midst of the global recession, Denver remains a place for optimism.”
Denver has cut $86 million from the budget for fiscal 2009, but now the City needs to cut another $120 million in the next 18 months.
