Important Benefits Coverage Update
The Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act (MMA) requires group health plans to provide the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) with social security numbers of all employees and their dependents enrolled on the City’s Group Health plans.

Deferred Compensation Seminar, August 3
 Denver's Deferred Compensation Plan provides City & County employees with a great way to save more for their retirement. Cooney Associates (Hartford Life Insurance) is now providing monthly sessions for all City employees to learn more about their retirement account options.
Monday, August 3, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Webb Municipal Building, Room 1.D.1
- The first 30-minute presentation will focus on:
- Basics of your Deferred Compensation Account
- General Investment Principals
- Topical Market/Financial Events
- The remaining 1 and 1/2 hours of the session will be dedicated to individual consultation. Please Note: This is open to all City employees - attendance at the presentation is not required to attend this portion of the session. All individual consultations are on a first come, first serve basis.

City offices will be closed:
- Thursday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving
- Friday, November 27, employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times.
