Denver Parks and Recreation's Citywide Operations performs athletic field maintenance throughout the playable season to ensure sound condition of the city's permitted soccer, football, baseball, softball, rugby, and lacrosse fields during the months of February through November. Services include: daily preparation of all skinned ball fields; g rading of ball fields as needed; layout of fields to proper dimension; cleaning, raking, and trash removal; and general repairs to press boxes, bleachers, fences, soccer goals, lighting, and backstops. Excavation and construction as part of a project on Denver Parks and Recreation Department's property, requires a Construction and Access Permit and a "Call Before You Dig" to report any excavation that may be done at least two business days prior to excavation. Construction permit and excavation calls should initially should first be sent to Utility Notification Center of Colorado (UNCC) at 1-800-922-1987 to determine if the property or parcel is overseen by the City and County of Denver Parks and Recreation Department.
