Asbestos Inspections
Asbestos (City facilities) - The objectives of this program are to determine the presence, quantity, and condition of asbestos in order to protect human health via applicable regulations.

DEH supports the City’s overall response to emergency events by providing environmental public health monitoring, technical support, and remediation oversight.
Indoor Air (City owned & leased facilities) - The objectives of this program are to respond, document, and make recommendations on air quality related issues that may adversely affect City employees working conditions.

Radon
Radon is an odorless, tasteless, naturally occurring radioactive gas estimated to be the cause of thousands of lung cancer deaths each year.
Childhood lead poisoning prevention program - DEH provides outreach and education to help prevent children's exposures to lead, and performs environmental investigations to find the source of lead for children that have been lead poisoned in Denver. Lead (on City property) - The objectives of this program are to determine for presence and/or properly dispose of lead contaminated waste in order to protect human health via applicable regulations.
Illegal Drug Labs (Meth Labs) - DEQ provides environmental oversight for illegal drug labs that are discovered in Denver, and ensures that the sites are appropriately remediated to meet the standards that have been established by Colorado regulation.
The VB/I-70 Community Health Program is a community partnership program providing lead and arsenic outreach education as well biological monitoring for the residents of the VB/I-70 Superfund Site neighborhoods.
