Sara Brown was formed in 1972 by a group of Denver Human Services workers who wanted to recognize and honor the work of a former social worker who went above and beyond in her line of duty. This foundation helps Denver’s most vulnerable population by providing extended services to people in need when government assistance is not enough. Although our mission is to assist DHS caseworkers and their clients, we are set up as a nonprofit that is independent of the City and County of Denver. Sara Brown helps Denver’s most vulnerable populations.
