Please Note: In order to reallocate the Training and Organization Development’s limited resources during the coming year, GOALS and LEAD will be temporarily postponed. The Training Team will evaluate these programs and more information will be shared in 2009.
The Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) program is designed exclusively for executive leaders, managers and appointees of the City and
County of Denver. The LEAD program enhances leadership skills and competencies and provides opportunities for City and County employees to develop the skills they need to become effective leaders.
LEAD is an intensive two-year program that welcomes 30 select City employees each year. Curriculum for this innovative program focuses on the City’s three core leadership values: public stewardship, respect for self and others and service quality. Through focused training, education and research, LEAD participants gain insightful knowledge and skills to help them excel in both their professional and personal lives.
Throughout the course of the program, participants are given opportunities to network with one another as a way to review and discuss material and issues, break down communication barriers between City agencies, and increase the level of collaboration among City leaders. Some participants may choose to speak on panels, participate in workshops sponsored by the City, or establish new opportunities to teach and learn about leadership in the public sector.
Application to the LEAD program is available for download from this Website.
