 Congratulations 2008 LEAD Graduates
CSA Training & Organization Development is proud to add 26 new graduates to the exclusive group of managers who have completed the Leadership Enhancement And Development Program (LEAD)!  They were honored in a special luncheon ceremony on Friday, October 17th, emceed by Jeff Dolan, Executive Director of CSA.  Mayor John Hickenlooper, PW Manager Bill Vidal, Court Administrator Matt McConville, and graduate Suzanne Iversen offered their congratulations to the graduates along with words of wisdom to an audience of about 75 City leaders.

The two-year program has become a hallmark of the City’s management development strategy and figures to be a prominent component in meeting the City’s future needs for leadership skill as we face the challenges ahead.  There are now nearly 100 managers in the City who are part of this special talent pool, all applying their LEAD experience to their roles in the City.

Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) Minimize

The Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) program is designed exclusively for executive leaders, managers and appointees of the City and County of Denver. The LEAD program enhances leadership skills and competencies and provides opportunities for City and County employees to develop the skills they need to become effective leaders.

LEAD is an intensive two-year program that welcomes 30 select City employees each year. Curriculum for this innovative program focuses on the City’s three core leadership values: public stewardship, respect for self and others and service quality. Through focused training, education and research, LEAD participants gain insightful knowledge and skills to help them excel in both their professional and personal lives.

Throughout the course of the program, participants are given opportunities to network with one another as a way to review and discuss material and issues, break down communication barriers between City agencies, and increase the level of collaboration among City leaders. Some participants may choose to speak on panels, participate in workshops sponsored by the City, or establish new opportunities to teach and learn about leadership in the public sector.

Application to the LEAD program is available for download from this Website.
