II. Interrelationships Between Street Functional Classification and Street Typologies

The following table below illustrates the relationship between functional classification and the street typologies. As can be seen, not all street typologies serve the function of all of the street functional classifications, and vice versa. For example, by definition, a commercial street is generally surrounded by strip commercial uses and carries a large volume of motor vehicle traffic, and, therefore, does not serve the function of a local or collector street.
