Permanent Amusement Facility License Required: This license is required for permanent public facilities used for performances of music, dance, comedy, oration, and drama, sporting events and exhibitions, animal exhibitions, recreational activities, and similar live or recorded entertainment. It is also required for any facility that has four or more amusement devices (mechanical or electronic machines or games such as video games, computer games, pinball, etc.) and any establishment that has over 10% of it total internal floor space used as a playing area for billiard and/or pool tables.

Facilities owned or operated by a non-profit organization, school, college, university, or the city are exempt from licensing.

Annual License Fee: $100
A full background check will be conducted:  $16.50

Temporary Amusement License Required: This license is required for a short-term show, exhibition, or special event for which a charge for admission or participation is imposed. This includes things such as circuses, carnivals, rodeos, festivals, fairs, bazaars, haunted houses, Christmas shows, petting zoos, stock shows, automotive shoes, collector shows, touring exhibits and similar shows as well as concerts, dances, music performances, dramatic or comedy performances. A license is not required for those events operated by a school, college or university, non-profit organization, or the city.
