How the slam will work:
Poets are asked to slam around the topic of JUSTICE.
3 Rounds:
1st round = 3min, 2nd round = 1min, 3rd round = 4min
The pot will be split three ways:
1st place = $125, 2nd = $85, 3rd = $40
Ten (10) spots will be held open for poets who register in advance, with five (5) spots held for invited poets. To get on the list, email Gina Rubano at

A poetry slam is a competition at which poets read or recite original work. These performances are then judged on a numeric scale and prizes are awarded for the top poet!
