Mayor Hancock Celebrates Historic Opening of Denver’s New Patent and Trademark Office

DENVER – Mayor Michael B. Hancock released the following statement celebrating the historic opening of the new U.S. Patent and Trademark Rocky Mountain Regional Office in downtown Denver:

“The opening of this satellite U.S. Patent and Trademark office is a momentous day for Denver, the region and Colorado. The metro Denver region is a place where people and ideas come together, and when it comes to developing the New Ideas Economy, the advantage goes to the region with the smartest, most innovative people.

“This new patent office is a testament to the leaps and bounds we’ve made to become a national hub for innovation and ingenuity. So many partners – both public and private, and at all levels – worked hand in hand to make this day a reality, and their patience and persistence paid off. Together, we will make this new office a great success. And together, we will continue to grow a smart, global economy built for the 21st Century.”
