Public Health Inspection
Emergency Medical Vehicles
The City and County of Denver is part of an intergovernment agreement with Adams, Aprapahoe, Broomfield, Douglas, Elbert, and Jefferson counties to process inspections of emergency medical vehicles.
The seven county group contracts with Stan Howell to conduct the licensing inspections of vehicles. This process allows emergency medical vehicle companies to have one consistent inspection that meets the expectations of the five counties. In 2006 the seven counties agreed to allow for the reciprocity of vehicle permits. This allows any emergency medical vehicle that is licensed or permitted within their base county to operate within any of the other six counties without requiring furhter permits or licenses.
The seven counties use the same application form, vehicle condition form, and complaint process. Each county has different licensing fees.
