Vaccinations Are Required
According to Denver Law rabies vaccinations are required for all Denver pets.
The Denver Animal Shelter offers a rabies vaccination clinic for cats and dogs.
Vaccination Days / Hours:
Every Wednesday and Thursday unless other wise posted
- Wednesday's for Dogs from 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm.
- Thursday's for Cats from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $35 rabies, distemper/parvo and a one year license for Denver County residents or out of county residents that use Denver dog parks.
The Clinic is open to everyone.
You do not have to be a resident of the City and County of Denver to receive a vaccination for your pet. If you are a resident of the City and County of Denver, a dog or cat license is included with the cost of the vaccination. The license will be sent to you by mail the following week.
Puppies and kittens under 3 months of age will only receive the distemper/parvo or feline distemper vaccination. When your pet is old enough, you may bring it back for the rabies vaccination.
Your pet will not receive a vaccination if it is sick, pregnant or nursing.
We do not vaccinate Pit Bull breeds or any dog mixed with a Pit Bull breed even if you reside in another County.
Please muzzle pets that may be vicious or unpredictable towards people or other pets.
