Final Concept Plans - Hampden Heights, Observatory and Pulaski Parks

Help Re-design the New Play Areas at Hampden Hts. Park, Observatory Park and Pulaski Park!

The playground projects are part of the "Better Denver" bond program approved by City residents in 2007.  Take a look at the proposed final concept plan for the playgrounds.

Hampden
Hts. Park Playground

The final concept plan includes updated play structures and swings, a picnic/sitting area and sand pit.  The “Man in the Moon” is the proposed theme of the playground.  Features such as “moon crater” climbing structure and a climbing “space net” are tied into the creative concept.

Observatory Park Playground
The final concept plan includes updated play structures and swings, a picnic/sitting area and a sand pit.  Due to the close proximity to Chamberlin Observatory, the theme proposed for the playground is planets and astronomy.  Elements such as stars, planet names and the sun appear throughout the playground.  The mature trees located within the park were also embraced by the proposed layout.

Pulaski
Park
Playground
The final concept plan includes updated play structures and swings, a picnic/sitting area and a sand pit.  Due to the close proximity to Cherry Creek, the theme celebrates the creek.  A curvilinear layout of the playground and sidewalks copies that of flowing water through a creek.
