32 Weapons off the Street Friday, February 17, 2006 (846 reads)
Denver Police Officers arrested a violent felon with thirty weapons in his possession. On February 9, 2006 the District-1 SCAT Team executed an arrest warrant for Scott Riopelle (DOB 05-08-73) at 3331 Bryant Street. Riopelle was wanted on charges of Felony Menacing, a Class 5 Felony. The felony menacing incident occurred December 30, 2005 when Riopelle allegedly threatened two people with a gun outside a downtown night club.

Police Impersonator Monday, February 13, 2006 (587 reads)
The Denver Police Department is investigating a police impersonation that occurred this morning at approximately 7:45 a.m. The victim, a female, was on her way to work this morning when she was contacted by two males driving a vehicle which closely resembled a white Intrepid.

Stolen Motor Vehicle Suspect - RTD Lot Friday, February 10, 2006 (606 reads)
Denver Police Department, District Four Investigations is asking for assistance from the public to help identify a suspect that was caught on tape at least 3 times stealing motor vehicles from a parking lot. This video shows the same suspect, a white male, blond hair, wearing a blue jacket with a small Denver Bronco’s emblem on the left chest, and the word “BRONCOS” on the back in white letters on three separate occasions, stealing motor vehicles.

Incident at Denver Nugget Game Thursday, February 09, 2006 (587 reads)
During the Nuggets game Wednesday February 8, 2006 a fan sitting in the stands continuously heckled one of the Nuggets players identified as K. Martin. At some point during the game, after continuous heckling on behalf of the fan, it was stated that Martin stood up turned around and had a verbal exchange with the person in the stands. As the team returned to the court, Martin then sat back on the bench and watched the game. Shortly after the verbal exchange with the fan in the stands two associates of the Nugget player took it upon themselves to approach the fan on behalf of K. Martin. Once again there was a verbal exchange between the three and the associates left the area but not the facility.

Cold Case Project Success Suspect Glasser Wednesday, February 08, 2006 (601 reads)
The Denver Police Detectives assigned to the “Cold Case Project” have linked a well known sex offender, Wayne Glasser (DOB 12/14/66), to a 1996 sex assault. Sex Assault Detectives and Crime Laboratory Scientists have been working to solve the kidnapping and sexual assault which occurred in west Denver in the fall of 1996. In the 1996 crime a woman was walking home when she was taken at gun point and forced into a van where she was sexually assaulted. No one was arrested at the time. Cold Case Detectives reviewed the case work with the DA and the Crime Laboratory discovering information that linked Wayne Glasser to the crime.

Denver Police Department Outreach to the STAR Program Tuesday, February 07, 2006 (714 reads)
Sgt Mike Anderson and Leigh Sinclair of the Denver Police Department CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) program recently spoke with students of the STAR Program. STAR stands for Students Transitioning to Adult Resources. This program is for students in the Denver Public Schools who are 18-21 years of age. STAR addresses student’s functional life skills through community experiences, vocational support, and direct instruction in a community based class. This is in an effort to help students become as independent as possible. The students in this particular class are all developmentally disabled to varying degrees. Collaboration between the STAR coordinator, the family, the student, and community agencies is an important component of the program.

3343 Kearney Victim Thanks Officer and Paramedic Thursday, February 02, 2006 (536 reads)
The suspect Thomas McBride 01-01-56 is currently out on bond and was initially in custody on Investigation of Criminal Attempt 1st Degree Murder. The suspect posted bond on January 20th. The incident took place on December 24, 2005 at approximately 9:30 p.m., at 3343 Kearney. The Daniels Fund informed the victim at the press conference that they are stepping up to the plate and will present $10,000 towards reconstructive surgery for the victim. The family of Martha Clark will be providing a photograph of her prior to this incident. As soon as we receive the photo we will send it out however, it more than likely will not be here before the 5:00 news. The family also presented Officer Eric Gray with a plaque which contained wording that expressed their gratitude.
