On August 12, 2009 at approximately 9:50 a.m., a male victim pulled his vehicle into a Subway parking lot at Alameda Avenue and Broadway Street.  The male victim went inside the restaurant and a female suspect with a small child entered the victim’s vehicle and began to drive off.  The victim jumped on the hood of his vehicle, in an attempt to prevent this.  

The suspect drove off at a high rate of speed with the victim still on the hood.  The suspect drove the stolen vehicle southbound on Broadway Street, maintaining a high rate of speed as she approached Iowa Street.  The suspect turned westbound on Iowa Street and the victim fell off the vehicle striking his head on the concrete sidewalk, causing injury.  The suspect continued westbound on Iowa street in the stolen vehicle.  The victim was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

The vehicle is described as a beige 1995 Nissan Altima with a Colorado license plate of 821UKC. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Native American female in her 20’s.  She is approximately 5’ 7” with a very thin build at 120 pounds with long brown hair that was in a ponytail, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.  The small child with her appeared to be approximately 5 years old wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans.
