To ensure a successful Strategic Transportation Plan for Denver, the planning process receivef organized and regular input from the public. The Advisory Committee [pdf 25kb] was designed to serve as a major facet of public input for the Strategic Transportation Plan. Its members represented a wide-range of specific stakeholders who had a distinct interest in the outcome of the process.
The Advisory Committee provided advice on policy and political issues, general plan direction, and consistency of the Strategic Transportation Plan with Blueprint Denver. The Advisory Committee was comprised of external and internal stakeholders, who were appointed by the Mayor to make recommendations to the Manager of Public Works. Membership included City Staff, City Council members, and interested citizens.
