Your Name in Graffiti (YNIG) was created in 2006, by introducing the beauty and understanding of graffiti art (urban art), while offering personalize customized graffiti options. YNIG enjoys educating while providing graffiti artists a positive outlet to express and excel as artists. In October 2006, YNIG participated in the Mayors Graffiti summit and played an integral role with the Graffiti Prevention Committee over an eight week period in aspiring ways to suggest creative outlets for youth and artists who desire to move into the professional status. While embarking in a weekly graffiti art program in the Globeville neighborhood, YNIG has developed by working with kids of all age-levels in several schools, by instructing them with the understanding and development of urban art. The team of YNIG is very excited to be the first Graffiti artists commissioned by the city of Denver, and find it an honor to add their artwork into the community of Globeville.
YNIG was founded by local graffiti artists “Wiser” and “Lemon”, later inbred artists “Kanz” and “Dread”. Artist “Wiser” has a deep passion and energetic ability to consistently accelerate his talents, an eagerness to take on projects whether it is a canvas, a wall, a book or on a shoe. Artist “Lemon” is the technical guru of YNIG (Videos, pictures and web design), both active in youth education and a representative in design with various methods and approaches to understanding graffiti as an art form. Artist “Kanz” the youngest team member, growing up in the heart of Denver has developed a deep fondness of graffiti art while honing his own art skills. Artist “Dread” being trained by his mother with a love of art, has worked his way into the art scene to become one of the most versatile graffiti artists in Denver.
