Denver Parks + Recreation, Winter Park and SOS work together to build a FREE urban rail yard for inner-city youth and families where they can jump, spin and slide off snow-covered metal rails at Ruby Hill Park, located at South Platte River Drive and W. Florida Avenue. Now in its second year, the Rail Yard will present a variety of special events showcasing the many new and improved features for this season.
Ruby Hill Park topography creates a natural bowl which is ideal for the rail yard.
6 rails are available with beginner, intermediate and advanced configurations.
In addition to natural snow, snow machines provide approximately 1 acre
of the white stuff with an average of 2 - 3 feet deep.
RTD Bus #21- the Evans Crosstown is the local bus that serves Ruby Hill Park.
The closest bus stop is at Lipan and Evans.
