Denver' Snow Plan
Denver Public Works announces a new tool to keep residents informed of our snow removal strategies in real-time. DenverSnowPlan.com will provide information about how Denver Public Works is responding to the forecast, along with de-icing strategies and snow plow deployment information when snow is falling.  

 


 

Denver Energy Challenge
Denver residents can help reduce their carbon footprint while helping ten local high schools fund clean energy projects. The program provides residents with a new incentive to register for Xcel Energy’s Windsource program.

Wildlife Learning to Hunt
This is the time of year when young, wild animals (coyotes, foxes) are leaving their dens and learning to hunt alongside their parents. Denver Parks and Recreation advises keeping small pets indoors.

New Statewide License Fees
This year the Colorado legislature passed the FASTER law which increases late fees and raises license registration fees. The higher costs take effect in June and July 2009.

Denver Municipal Animal Shelter Extends Weekday Evening Hours
Beginning March 31, the Denver Municipal Animal Shelter will offer extended weekday evening hours to provide customers with additional time to visit the shelter during the week. Report Coyote Incidents Here
Due to the increased concern regarding coyotes in the City & County of Denver, Denver Parks and Recreation has created a coyote incident report to track coyote incidents. Please click here to complete the survey.

Homeowners: Rebates Available to Insulate and Seal

Properly insulating and sealing a home can help reduce monthly energy bills and make your home more comfortable.  Xcel Energy has opened its “Insulate Colorado" Homeowner Rebate Program for its residential gas customers who make certain energy efficient improvements to their homes. Installation of insulation must occur between 1/1/2009 and 12/31/2010.  Please refer to the attached Xcel Energy Homeowner Rebate Form for other program requirements.  Details
