Tree Branch Set-out Depends on Trash Collection type Minimize
Bundled branches should be set out as follows depending on the type of trash collection you have:

Manual customers (that provide their own trash receptacles) should set bundled branches out with their regular trashLimit 10 bundles per week.

Barrel trash customers (black 100 gallon automated trash barrel) should set bundled branches out with their overflow collection on their regular trash dayPlease set bundles at least four feet away from black barrel and/or recycling containerLimit of 10 bundles per week.

Dumpster customers (tan dumpsters in alleys) may dispose of bundled branches in one of two ways:

    1. Bundle branches may be placed inside your dumpster, but only up to 5  bundles in the dumpster each week. Do not fill up your dumpster or other dumpsters with branches as this will prevent residents from being able to properly dispose of their household trash.  Branches should not be left in piles un-bundled or pressed up against the dumpsters
    2. Bundle branches may be set out for collection during your scheduled Large Item Pickup (LIP) collection weekBundles should placed at least four feet away from dumpsters, otherwise bundles will interfere with emptying the dumpsters.  Bundles should only be set-out by the dumpster by 7:00 a.m. on the Monday of your scheduled LIP collection week.  Branches should not left in piles un-bundled or pressed up against the dumpsters.

Branches in Right of Way Minimize
Branches in the Public Right of Way - Tree Stumps or Larger Branches

Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments would like to remind homeowners that they are responsible for trees on the public right-of-way. If a prow tree or tree part is blocking a roadway, it must be removed immediately.

This can occur one of three ways: homeowner removes, homeowner contracts for the removal, city contracts for the removal. If the latter occurs, homeowner is responsible for associated costs. A list of Licensed Forestry Tree Contractors is available.

Residents are also responsible for removal and disposal of tree stumps and all branches over 4 inches in diameter. A list of registered haulers who are private haulers that have registered with Solid Waste Management is also available.  These are private companies and fees are charged.  Additional haulers may be available using the yellow pages.
