One of his greatest accomplishments was the South Platte River Corridor Project. Thanks to the efforts of many people, over twenty new projects and programs to improve the river corridor have been completed. These improvements have enhanced not only the corridor for the citizens of Denver, but he corridor has become a national example of river restoration.

The premise behind the corridor improvements was and continues to be the belief that if we protect and care for the river and help restore its beauty, the South Platte will bring our children and their unmatched recreational, educational, and development opportunities for years to come.
