The Training Bureau is part of the Research, Training and Technology Division, and is under the command of Captain Eric Rubin.  It is divided by function into three sections, Academy, Firearms and Video.

The Training Bureau provides both recruit and in-service training (continuing education).  It also hosts law enforcement seminars and special events such as promotional and award ceremonies.  The Training Bureau sponsors the Denver Police Citizens' Academy and the Denver Police Family Members' Academy.  The police academy also serves as a meeting place for Explorer Scouts, Post 83.
