Lighthouse Writers Workshop presents the
One Book, One Denver Teen Fiction Contest
Write a short fictional story about a character who goes against the grain, an outsider who, when confronted with a challenge, doesn't follow the expected or popular course of action.
Short stories should be no more than 1000 words in length, typed and double-spaced. Entries will be judged based on the quality of the writing, originality, subject matter and the way the story moves. Finalists will be judged by local fiction writers from the Lighthouse Writers Workshop faculty. One winner will be chosen from three age groups: 12-13, 14-15, and 16 up.
Prizes include gift certificates for writing workshops, bookstores and movie passes!
