DENVER August 1, 2012(PDF, 85K) - Mayor Michael B. Hancock led the crowd in a toast as the community raised their (non-alcoholic) glasses in celebration of the $4 million in recent improvements at Sloan's Lake Park today.  Joining the mayor were Councilwoman Susan Shepherd, Denver Parks and Recreation, Arts & Venues Denver, and the Better Denver Bond Program. Denver Municipal Band's Brass Quintet set the celebratory tone in this sunset soiree.


DENVER June 5, 2012(PDF, 121K) - Today Denver City officials celebrated the completion of the Denver Crime Laboratory (DCL).  The DCL, funded by the 2007 voter approved Better Denver Bond program, is both a highly functioning and breathtaking structure, which will provide the Denver Police Department (DPD) with ample space and leading-edge technology to solve crimes committed in Denver.

DENVER February 7, 2012(PDF, 115K) - Thanks to the citizen approved Better Denver Bond Program and a partnership with Denver Water, Denver Parks and Recreation saved over 273,497,000 gallons and $700,000 in water costs in 2011.

DENVER - February 14, 2011 (PDF, 76K) - Denver Public Works will begin making improvements on Bannock Street from Colfax Avenue to 14th Avenue.  The Bannock Street make-over is part of the "Colfax Avenue and 14th Avenue" bond project that will install pedestrian improvements on Colfax Avenue and 14th Avenue between Speer and Broadway to strengthen the link between Civic Center and Speer.

DENVER - December 22, 2010 (PDF. 96K) - Civic Center Park's Broadway Terrace rehabilitation project is underway and scheduled to be complete in the Spring of 2011.  The project will include new and refurbished pedestrian walkways and pavement, seating areas, irrigation and landscape improvements including additional trees, improved pedestrian and street lighting, new drainage systems, RTD bus stop improvements and improved curb, gutters and roadway treatments.
