Projects - 1D: Streets and Public Works
Our street maintenance has not been keeping pace with our growth in population and traffic. Until recently, we've been trying to catch up on repairing potholes that were developing because we weren’t able to afford better and longer term maintenance solutions.
Now, bond funding will help move us in the right direction. In addition to better maintenance, 1D will help increase traffic capacity in targeted areas, and help make Denver more pedestrian friendly and sustainable.
Colfax & 14th Ave. Improvements - Design Charrette Summary
A design charrette was held on July 9, 2009. The purpose of the design charrette was to conduct a public visioning workshop to determine whether property owners and residents prefer streetscape improvements that would require maintenance by a special district or infrastructure improvements that would not require district formation. For the summary of this charrette process, including the conclusions and next steps, please see the Charrette Report (July 2009) .
