South Platter River Closed night of 7/24/14

6th Avenue Bridge Project

Crews will be pouring the Platte River Bridge deck Thursday night 7/24/2014.  The South Platte River bike path will be closed at 6th Ave Thursday 7/24 7:00 p.m. until Friday 7/25 7:00 a.m.

The US 6 Bridges Project will need to close the Platte River Trail beneath 6th Avenue nightly beginning Sunday, June 8, lasting through Thursday, June 12, from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night.

The PeopleForBikes Green Lane Project has selected Denver as one of six new U.S. cities to join its intensive two-year program to build better bike lanes. Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Denver, CO, Indianapolis, IN, Pittsburgh, PA and Seattle, WA will receive financial, strategic and technical assistance to create low-stress streets and increase vitality in urban centers through the installation of protected bike lanes. The six cities were chosen from more than 100 U.S. cities that submitted letters of interest for the program.

A portion of the Cherry Creek Trail near University Boulevard and Cherry Creek South Drive will be closed intermittently during construction of a new storm drain system and street reconstruction project along University Blvd in Cherry Creek.
