As part of our work with the Living Streets Initiative, Denver Public Works has adopted a Complete Streets Policy for all projects. This means that DPW shall integrate the practice of promoting safe and convenient access for all users of the transportation network into plans, manuals, rules and regulations, and programs, as appropriate.

The Better Denver Bond Program is wrapping up work on the new contra-flow cycle track on Bannock Street along City Park. The new cycle track enables for north bound bike movement in a primarily south bound travel corridor. Cyclists traveling north bound on Bannock should use the cycle track, while south bound cyclists should use the on-street bike lane.

Late last night, crews reconfigured Bannock Street from Speer to 14th Avenue, trading the center turn lanes for bike lanes. This is the next step in making Bannock Street better for bikes!
