Requesting an Inspections is Simple!

The Automated Inspection Request System is designed to dispatch inspection requests for the next working day. Inspections requested before Midnight will usually be scheduled for the following working day. Occasionally an inspection will be scheduled for a later date due to workload problems.   

 
  1. Using a touch tone telephone, Call 720.865.2501
  2. Enter your Permit Number.  Located on the bottom of your permit beginning with the year.  (Example:  98123456)
  3. Enter the Inspection Code.  This is a three-digit code based on the type of inspection request.  See the Inspection Type Directory for a listing of Codes.
  4. Write down the verification number and the inspection date provided at the end of your call.  Make sure to stay on the line until you get the verification number.
  5. The Day of inspection look at Inpsectors area map and call the respective inspector between 7:30 and 8:30 am for time window of inspection.

 Top 10 Reasons for Inspection Delays
You can help prevent the need for a second inspection and costly delays.  Avoid these common problems. General violations that apply to commercial and residential projects:
 
  1. No permit posted on job site / or visible from street for residential
  2. No approved plans on site
  3. No access provided to area to be inspected
  4. The job is incomplete
  5. The job is not ready for inspection
  6. Sub contractors not properly licensed
  7. Work completed does not match approved plans/drawings
  8. Work area is unsafe due to debris or other hazards
  9. Work started without obtaining permit(s)
  10. Inspector cannot locate the work site - no address or unit number posted
