Cherry Creek South Drive Corridor

The vision for the Cherry Creek corridor began over 10 years ago with the development of the Cherry Creek Corridor Greenway Master Plan and its adoption by City Council in June of 2000.

Since this time, the City and their project team have worked closely with the neighborhoods and members of the general public to bring that vision one step closer to reality. As a result, the project now has a viable plan that is eligible for future City funds. The status of the annual budget will determine which elements of the corridor concept may be implemented. We will prioritize improvements when we learn of the status of funding.

Phase One improvements from University Boulevard to 600 feet west of Steele Street were completed in Spring 2009.

Phase Two street reconstruction on Cherry Creek South Drive was from Alameda Avenue to 500 feet west of Colorado Boulevard. This project, completed in 2010, matched the existing Alameda Cherry Creek intersection to the west  and into the  Colorado Blvd-Cherry Creek South Drive intersection improvements constructed in 2005.
