Happy July 4th!

Fireworks can be fun, but they are dangerous and illegal in the City and County of Denver, even SPARKLERS!

The Denver Fire Department (DFD) and Denver Police Department have joined together for “Don’t Cross The Line 2013,” a public awareness campaign to educate the public about enforcement of the City’s fireworks ban during the Independence Day holiday week.  Violators are subject to a $999.00 fine or up to a year in jail.  To ensure public safety, there will be no warnings, only citations, so save your pocketbook and “Don’t Cross the Line”!

Fortunately, there are many legal fireworks displays for you and your family to enjoy on July 3rd and 4th.  These displays have been thoroughly inspected for safety by the DFD and fire crews will be ready to respond to any emergencies.

July 3rd -  Civic Center Park

                  Coors Field

July 4th - Oakwood Homes (Green Valley Ranch)

                 Elitch Gardens

                 Denver Country Club

                 Pinehurst Country Club

                 Sports Authority Field

                 Coors Field

The Denver City Council wishes you a safe holiday and wants you to remember “if you have to light or ignite, it’s illegal.
