Minimum Qualifications:  Applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications at the time of application. Failing to meet the qualifications will result in immediate disqualification.  Some qualifications have particular time limits associated.  If this applies to your situation, you may become eligible once those time limits have lapsed.  If you do not meet a qualification based on your behavior or criminal history occurring prior to age 18 (and more than five years ago), you may be eligible to request an “exemption”. 

Note: All applicants requesting waivers must meet the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) requirement.
