Test open to the public
(Denver) – In preparation for the May 3 Municipal General Election, the Denver Elections Division will conduct a Logic and Accuracy Test at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2011. The Logic and Accuracy Test, which is open to the public, is conducted prior to every election and is required by state law as a step to ensure equipment is recording and counting votes properly.
Two types of voting equipment will be tested:
- Sequoia 400c high-speed ballot scanners, used to count paper ballots;
- Sequoia Edge II electronic touch-screen voting machines.
The test will be conducted at the Denver Elections Division, 200 W. 14th Ave. Candidates, campaign representatives, news media, and the general public are invited to attend.
The May 3, 2011 Municipal General Election will be a mail ballot election. Voters have the option to return their ballots by mail or drop them off at one of 13 Voter Service Centers.
