Elections Division’s first venture into the world of social media (in 140 characters or less)
(Denver) – How “tweet” it is!
The Denver Elections Division will use the social networking tool Twitter to communicate with voters, candidates and campaigns during the ramp-up to the November 3, 2009 Coordinated Election.
“In the rapidly evolving world of elections, it is important that we provide rapid real time updates to our increasingly tech savvy customer base and this will be an effective tool to do so,” Denver Clerk and Recorder Stephanie O’Malley said. “We will also continue to communicate with voters who are used to receiving their information through more traditional methods.”
The Elections Division will use Twitter to remind voters and candidates of key dates, deadlines, when to check the Denvervotes.org website for updated content and poll worker recruitment.
