(Denver) – In keeping with her commitment to have the best possible team in place, and in the interest of public confidence, recently-elected Denver Clerk and Recorder Debra Johnson has launched a national search for a Director of Elections and a Deputy Clerk and Recorder.
Under Denver’s Charter, these are the Clerk and Recorder’s two appointed positions.
“This is by no means an expression of dissatisfaction with the two individuals currently in these positions. From what I can see the Clerk and Recorder’s office has been run very competently. And the Elections Division has clearly put in place a number of efficiencies for smooth-running elections and effective voter outreach. However, I want to conduct a thorough search so that I will be able to assure Denver citizens, especially Denver voters, that we have sought out the best, and appointed the best, in these positions.” Johnson said.
The positions are posted at www.denvergov.org/jobs and will close on August 19, 2011.
