General Statement of Work

This projects extends North University Outfall Phase 1 from 2nd/Josephine to 4th/Detroit.  The storm system extends up Columbine to 3rd Avenue, east on 3rd Avenue to Detroit, and north on Detroit to 4th.  The project consists of 42" to 48" mainline with laterals and inlets.  The storm system is designed to convey the 10-year storm event. This project will also include a complete mill and overlay from lip to lip on every street that is disturbed as part of the storm line construction.

Located in Confluence Park where the South Platte River and Cherry Creek converge, the project removes two existing substandard trail ramp structures in Shoemaker Plaza; and replaces them with a single, 12-foot wide, ADA compliant multi-directional ramp. The new regional trail ramp is an integral part of a new pedestrian plaza, stairway and other urban landscape improvements. In addition, theproject will provide 20 bicycle parking spaces and upgraded lighting.

General Statement of Work

Denver Parks and Recreation will be renovating the irrigation in Washington Park along Downing street and improving the layout of paths in the large garden. The work will involve the installation of new mainlines, laterals, valves and heads, installation of concrete mow bands and some walks and crusher fines paths. Some of this pipe installation will require directional boring in order to avoid existing trees within the park. There will be some site demo required, erosion control and general landscape restoration of sod areas disturbed by the irrigation and path renovation work.

Click on the project you are interested in, scroll to and click on the “Digital Download” link which will direct you to the QuestCDN website to view the plans and specifications at no charge.  A fee of $25 is required to download the bid documents, plans and specifications.

Are pre-bid meetings mandatory?
A:  It can vary from project to project; refer to the Advertisement for Pre-Bid specifics.

Q:
  Where can I find a list of prime contractors or consultants that may be bidding or proposing on a project?
A:  All Public Works projects are advertised on www.work4denver.com, the “Digital Download” link in the advertisement will take you to QuestCDN where you can view the list of plan holders who have registered with their contact information.

Q: If I am unable to attend a bid opening where can I obtain information regarding bids that were submitted?
A: Bid summaries are generally posted within two (2) business days of the advertised bid opening


Q:
When will a bid tabulation be available for a previously bid project?
A:  Bid tabulations are posted once the City has received a signed contract from the apparent low bidder. Bid tabulations are not posted if it was a lump sum bid.  For those, refer to the Bid Summary.
