This project reconstructs South Broadway from Arizona Avenue to Kentucky Avenue in concrete. The width of the roadway ranges from a four to eight lane section with turn lanes.  A center median, and “bulbouts" or "curb extensions" are to be constructed near intersections. The existing span wire traffic signals are to be replaced by new mast arm traffic signals at  Mississippi and Tennessee. Street lighting, pedestrian lighting, streetscaping, landscaping and irrigation is included.  A 10 ft concrete multi-use sidewalk is to be placed on the east side of Broadway.  Other concrete sidewalks within the project limits are a minimum of 8 feet wide.  The existing 12 inch waterline and storm sewer facilities will be replaced.  Mississippi is to be reconstructed to provide additional turn lanes.  Mississippi is to be reconstructed in asphalt outside of the intersection with Broadway.  The work on Mississippi includes the relocation of a portion of the 30 inch water conduit, and the reconstruction of the northern retaining wall.
