Replace existing overhead sign bridge structures and traffic signs at various locations throughout the City and County of Denver. New sign bridge structures and traffic signs shall be per the current City and County of Denver standards.  Design and install   enhanced signage and structure at the following locations (1) Northbound Speer Blvd south of 32nd Ave; (2) Southbound Speer Blvd north of Auraria Pkwy; (3) Quebec St. north of 36th Ave; (4) 6th Ave west of Kalamath St; (5) 6th Ave at Kalamath St; (6) Westbound Alameda Ave west of Irving; (7) Colfax Ave & Park Ave; and (8)( Hale Pkwy and 8th Ave.

The City and County of Denver Public Works Department is seeking SBE general contractors to provide on call, as needed services performing construction work on municipal buildings, including remodeling, retrofitting, and renovation projects.  The City anticipates awarding multiple contracts to multiple general contractors.

General Statement of Work

This projects extends North University Outfall Phase 1 from 2nd/Josephine to 4th/Detroit.  The storm system extends up Columbine to 3rd Avenue, east on 3rd Avenue to Detroit, and north on Detroit to 4th.  The project consists of 42" to 48" mainline with laterals and inlets.  The storm system is designed to convey the 10-year storm event. This project will also include a complete mill and overlay from lip to lip on every street that is disturbed as part of the storm line construction.

Click on the project you are interested in, scroll to and click on the “Digital Download” link which will direct you to the QuestCDN website to view the plans and specifications at no charge.  A fee of $25 is required to download the bid documents, plans and specifications.

Q:  I am interested in submitting a bid on a project that has a W/WBE, SBE or DBE goal assigned to it.  Where can I find certified firms?

Are pre-bid meetings mandatory?
A:  It can vary from project to project; refer to the Advertisement for Pre-Bid specifics.

Q:
  Where can I find a list of prime contractors or consultants that may be bidding or proposing on a project?
A:  All Public Works projects are advertised on www.work4denver.com, the “Digital Download” link in the advertisement will take you to QuestCDN where you can view the list of plan holders who have registered with their contact information.

Q: If I am unable to attend a bid opening where can I obtain information regarding bids that were submitted?
A: Bid summaries are generally posted within two (2) business days of the advertised bid opening


Q:
When will a bid tabulation be available for a previously bid project?
A:  Bid tabulations are posted once the City has received a signed contract from the apparent low bidder. Bid tabulations are not posted if it was a lump sum bid.  For those, refer to the Bid Summary.
