Project to replace the existing traffic signal on the Evans Ave Bridge at Santa Fe Dr. and the traffic sign bridge at S. Platte River Dr. south of Mississippi Ave.  The signal scope includes the removal of the existing traffic signal equipment – poles, signal, ped indications, controller and associated equipments- and replace with a new monotube traffic signal structure, street light traffic poles, pedestrian poles and equipment in accordance with the City and County of Denver and CDOT standards, i.e., new foundations, monotube structure, multiple 12-12-12 overhead indications, accessible pedestrian signals, video vehicle detection, controller/cabinet and thermoplastic pavement markings and signing in accordance to ASTM Type 11 retro reflective sheeting.  Sign bridge scope includes the removal of the existing cantilever sign structures and replace with, monotube sign structure that will be designed and constructed to CDOT standards.  The sign panels will be upgraded to the ASTM Type 11retro reflective sheeting.

Replace the Blake Street Bridge over 38th Street. This project will include removal of the Blake Street Bridge over the 38th Street Underpass, then replacing it at an elevation to provide 15.0 ft. clearance. Also requires modification of the adjacent roadway’s vertical curve to improve sight distance and accommodation of future widening of the 38th Street Underpass.

Are pre-bid meetings mandatory?
A:  It can vary from project to project; refer to the Advertisement for Pre-Bid specifics.

  Where can I find a list of prime contractors or consultants that may be bidding or proposing on a project?
A:  All Public Works projects are advertised on, the “Digital Download” link in the advertisement will take you to QuestCDN where you can view the list of plan holders who have registered with their contact information.

Q: If I am unable to attend a bid opening where can I obtain information regarding bids that were submitted?
A: Bid summaries are generally posted within two (2) business days of the advertised bid opening

When will a bid tabulation be available for a previously bid project?
A:  Bid tabulations are posted once the City has received a signed contract from the apparent low bidder. Bid tabulations are not posted if it was a lump sum bid.  For those, refer to the Bid Summary.
