Enhanced Bikeway Study

Enhanced bikeways facilitate a safe and convenient bicycling experience to, from, and in Downtown Denver. Enhanced bikeways are part of the City’s vision to create a bicycle network that is more attractive to bicyclists of all abilities.

In 2016, the City kicked off an 18-month project to study key findings from Lawrence, Arapahoe, Bannock, and Stout Street enhanced bikeways. The purpose of this project is to gain a better understanding about Denver’s Protected Bike Lanes (PBLs) and their specific design treatments, which will be used to help inform future design of PBLs in Denver.
