Request for Qualifications: 13th Street Improvement/Champa Street Bridge, DPAC Garage Critical Repairs CM/GC Services

The Department of Public Works, City and County of Denver, has issued a Request for Qualifications (the “RFQ”) for Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) services for the project named above. RFQ documents will be available for download at www.QuestCDN.comeBid Document No. 4591213 at the cost of $10.00.

General Statement of Work: This RFQ is for CM/GC Services required to construct the 13th Street Improvement/Champa Street Bridge and DPAC Garage Critical Repairs. The goal of the project is to make improvements to 13th Street between Arapahoe and Champa, remove the existing pedestrian bridge over Champa Street and make critical repairs to the DPAC parking garage.

A Pre-Submittal Meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. local time, July 26, 2016, in Conference Room 1.D.1, Wellington E. Webb Building, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO  80202. Interested firms are encouraged to attend.  Firms are responsible for any information conveyed at this meeting.

Printed Responses are due at 10:00 a.m. local time, August 12, 2016, delivered to Public Works Finance and Administration, Attn: Brenda Hageman, 201 W. Colfax, Dept. 614, Denver, CO  80202.

The Construction goal of 12% Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Participation must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-60(b). The successful proposer must be prepared to submit a Compliance Plan after the conclusion of the solicitation process, as a component of CM/GC contract negotiations and award.

Prequalification Requirements: Each proposer must be pre-qualified in the Work Category of 1A or 2A- with a Financial Limit of Six Million dollars ($6,000,000).  If not already prequalified, prime contractor must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the submittal due date.  Prequalification applications must be submitted to the Department of Public Works, Prequalification Section, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Dept. 614, Denver, Colorado 80202. Prevailing Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
