RFQ: Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse

The City and County of Denver is soliciting Requests for Qualifications from General Contractors to provide Construction Management/General Contracting services for Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse (Courthouse). The Courthouse is owned by the City and County of Denver and is located at 520 W. Colfax Avenue. Construction of the Courthouse was completed in 2010. On September 21, 2016, two separate sections of the Courthouse’s free-standing glass railing system inside the main lobby spontaneously shattered. The failures were on the 3rd and 5th floors on the lobby stairs and the cause is undetermined. The Project shall consist of the replacement of all of the existing tempered glass units with new glass units which meet current City and County of Denver Building Code requirements.

RFP: Brighton 44th to Race - Integrated Construction

General Description of Services and Project: This project falls within the National Western Center. The National Western Center is one of six projects under the North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative (NDCC), a coordinated effort created by Mayor Michael B. Hancock to strategically align planning among converging projects in Denver’s Globeville, Elyria, Swansea and River North neighborhoods and to help establish Brighton Boulevard as a gateway to Denver. This project falls within the portion of the National Western Center portfolio.
The Brighton Boulevard reconstruction project consists of widening an existing two‐lane section of Brighton Boulevard from 47th Avenue to Race Court to a four‐lane section (two through lanes, one center turn lane and one parking/flex lane) with the addition of sidewalks and amenity zones on both sides of the street. Additionally, a two‐way cycle track will be built on the west side of the road, with connections to 44th Street. The Brighton Boulevard bridge over Race Court will also be replaced as a part of this project.

Replacement of the roof from the deck up with new 20 year white EPDM roof membrane or Built-Up-Roof and roof insulation to conform to the 2015 IECC. Replacement of the roof top units for heating and cooling.

Contract 201737381 Sanderson Gulch Reach 1

Sanderson Gulch Reach 1 project will improve the currently undersized system from Lipan St to the confluence with the South Platte River. The improvements include a box culvert system from Lipan St to just downstream of the BNSF railroad and a combination low flow open channel with a high flow underground box culvert system from the BNSF railroad to the South Platte River. Cast-in-place box culverts and special structures, pre-cast box culverts, concrete flatwork, asphalt paving, utility relocations, riprap placement, loose and grouted slab stone boulder construction and channel grading are included in this project’s scope of work.

RFQ: National Western Center Horizontal Designer On-Call

The City and County of Denver (CCD), in partnership with The Mayor’s Office of the National Western Center, and its Founding Partners, seek a professional design consulting team for the new National Western Center to support the enabling works and site wide infrastructure elements of the NWC Capital Build program on a Task Order-by-Task Order basis. This is a critical component that will take the emerging concept designs from Campus Placemaking and develop the design(s) through 100%, including the delivery of “For Construction” drawings and specifications.

Contract 201737120 Ellie Caulkins Opera House Facade Lighting

*Bids will only be accepted from Contractors who were qualified during Stage 1 of the RFQ/Bid process issued on July 12, 2017; see ad for list*
The Ellie Facade lighting system will both recreate original light fixtures and accentuate historical features of the Ellie’s three exposed exterior facades with modern LED fixtures. The system will consist of new globe fixtures to match those originally installed along the façade, the recreation of historic pin-dot lighting across the building, and new low-profile LED fixtures of various types concealed within, or mounted directly to, the exterior of the building and controlled in various zones by a programmable control system. Light demolition of interior finishes and subsequent patching / reassembly, installation of electrical systems, weatherproofing and/or fireproofing of penetrations, and drilling through and mechanically fastening components to the historic, primarily brick, facade will be necessary.
