General Statement of Work: The Transportation & Mobility (T&M) Division of Denver Public Works (DPW) is requesting proposals for professional design services to assist in the preliminary engineering of pedestrian streetscape improvements at a limited number of intersections (less than 30) along Colfax Avenue. This will include medians, curb-extensions or bulbouts. Designs of these improvements are intended to contribute to the overall pedestrian safety and streetscape of Colfax Avenue within the four distinct Business Districts. The budget for this work is $475,000. This work is being completed as a phase of a larger project scope, which includes Bus Rapid Transit on East Colfax and additional streetscape design at specified locations.

Minority and Women Business Enterprise Participation:  The project goal of 28% must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-65, D.R.M.C. or through the demonstration of a sufficient good faith effort under Section 28-62 D.R.M.C.  For compliance with good faith requirements under Section 28-62(b), the M/WBE percentage solicitation level required for this project is 100%.

General:  As the City’s best interests may appear, the Manager of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, proposals.
