Denver Animal Protection Receives Grant to Fund Pet Retention Program

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals (ASPCA) awarded Denver Animal Protection a $50,000 grant to fund a new pet retention program that will provide assistance to Denver pet-owners who may be considering surrendering their pets due to financial hardships.

Denver Animal Protection Reminds Residents to Ensure Pets are Protected when Temperatures Drop

As the Denver Metro area braces for several days of bitter cold, Denver Animal Protection reminds residents to ensure pets are protected from the elements. Failing to do so could have dire consequence for pets, and result in a Cruelty to Animals or Animal Neglect charge, up to a $999 fine and/or a year in jail for the owner.

Adoption visits end one hour before closing (all adoptions must have a visit prior to paperwork being started).

Adoption lobby is closed to visitors 30 minutes before closing. 

Owner redemption paperwork must be started by 30 minutes before closing.

Clinic Cancellations or Schedule Changes

Occasionally we have to cancel or change the schedule for our vaccination clinic. When this occurs, cancellations will be posted in our events calendar located on the Home Page and Events Page.
