There is only one week left to nominate outstanding community partners for the Denver Healthy Communities Award, which recognizes exemplary public and private organizations and nonprofits that are leading the way in public and environmental health.
Hosted by Denver’s Department of Public Health & Environment, the HCAs celebrates organizations, projects or individuals engaged in efforts to protect and/or improve the health of Denver’s environment, residents, buildings and pets. Nominees can include those promoting clean air, land and water; those improving food or child safety; those increasing access to healthy food, healthy built environments or activities that promote healthy pets; and those improving the lives of animals or the community at-large.
Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 5 at www.denvergov.org/HCAwards in the following categories:
Nominees can include public, nonprofit and private organizations, and individuals. City agencies are not eligible to apply.
Winners will be announced at a recognition event during the week of April 2 during National Public Health Week.
