City Council has appointed Jane Feldman to the Board of Ethics to replace Edgar Neel, who has served for eight years on the Board, including four years as the Chair of the Board.
Ms Feldman was the Executive Director of the Colorado Independent Ethics Commission for nearly six years. Prior to that, she was a First Assistant Attorney General in the Natural Resources Section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, and an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Enforcement Section. She began her legal career in the New York County District Attorney’s Office in New York City, where she prosecuted felonies and was a Bureau Chief in the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. She is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association, and served as President of the Council on Government Ethics Laws (COGEL). She is currently in private law practice, representing local governments on ethics issues.
