Fine District 9 News - January Edition

A Word From Council President Brooks

I want to thank everyone for their incredible response to my first blog post, “For such a time as this....”

We had over 1500 people read the post about building an #InclusiveDenver, and many of you joined the conversation online.

Here's my next piece: "Economic Inclusion." It is inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his prophetic vision for economic justice - which is relevant given Denver’s current Boom.

Please take three minuets to read and join the community conversations I will be hosting.

Here's what's next:

Small Talks on Big Topics: Several constituents offered to host community conversations at their own homes. We thought this was a great idea! If you would like to host a small community meeting at your home in District 9, please contact our office at Albus.Brooks@denvergov.org to schedule.

Big Talks: There’s a lot going on in the Fine District 9, so our office is coordinating a community talk that will be a panel discussion with a Q&A. We will advertise this next month.

Open Office Hours: Starting in late February my open office hours will be: Wednesdays 8:30am – 10:00am and Thursdays 1:00pm – 3:00pm at our Fine District 9 Office at 2855 Tremont Pl Ste. 201
